The Minister of Basic and Senior Secondary Education (MBSSE), David Monina Sengeh has shed light on the transformation of education in the country and how far they have reached in the sector.
The minister in commending the United Kingdom in Sierra Leone through their High Commissioner, Lisa Chesney for the $25m project for Secondary School improvement, expressed a total commitment of his ministry in improving every aspect of the SDG4 indicator in the future.
‘’I can say this with pride: On any tracked indicator in the educational sector, we are better today than we were yesterday. Across many, we are several magnitudes better in 2023 than 2018. Even better, my hope and confidence comes from our commitment that on each one of these indicators, we are on the right direction to be better tomorrow and closer to the SDG 4 2030 benchmarks tomorrow than we are today. That’s what progress is,’’ the minister asserted.
