Six years after President Julius Maada Bio’s TED Talk, “A Vision for the Future of Sierra Leone,” the message continues to motivate national development activities.
Chief Minister Dr. Moinina David Sengeh, recalled the date with a reflective statement on social media.
“We were younger, but our drive has not changed at all,” Sengeh wrote. “I still watch this talk by President Bio which shapes the future we’ve been building and which we still badly need.”
President Bio’s 2019 TED Talk detailed a forward-thinking agenda that prioritized inclusive education, technology-driven governance, and sustainable development. His demand for creativity, equity, and lasting investments in youth echoes throughout Sierra Leone’s policy environment.
Chief Minister Sengeh’s tribute shows the President’s visions, as well as the administration’s commitment to modernizing the country through education and innovation.
