The Republic of Sierra Leone Armed Forces (RSLAF) Inter-Unit Drill/Parade Competition concluded on Wednesday, February 5, 2025, at the Dr. Julius Maada Bio Parade Square, Wilberforce Barracks.

The two-day event, which marked the beginning of the 16th Armed Forces Day Celebration, saw nine units compete, culminating in a final round featuring the 5 Infantry Brigade, 4 Infantry Brigade, Service Support Command, and the Sierra Leone Air Force.

Chief of Defence Staff, Major General Amara Idara Bangura, praised the participants for their sportsmanship and emphasized the importance of discipline, teamwork, and adherence to command, noting that professionalism begins on the parade ground. He also announced the date for the next RSLAF inter-unit athletics competition.

Chief Judge Lieutenant Colonel (Rtd) ABS Kamara outlined the judging criteria, which included command and control, turnout, marching, initiative, arms drill, foot drill, sentry drill, dressing on the march, review order, and female participation.

After the final day of competition, the scores were announced: 5 Infantry Brigade (67.7 points), 2 Infantry Brigade (72 points), Navy (72.25 points), 3 and 4 Brigades (75 points each), Service Support (75 points), Air Force (78.2 points), Combat Support Brigade (83.5 points), and Training Doctrine and Command (TRADOC COM) (86.5 points). TRADOC COM emerged as the overall winner.

The event concluded with the presentation of trophies, certificates, and cash prizes to all participating units.
