The Sierra Leone National Bakers Union has reversed its previous decision and information making the rounds on social media that the institution will increase the price of bread in the country.

This came after the Public Relations Officer of the Union stated in a Radio Program that the Bakers Union was going to increase the price of bread effective 24th August, 2021.

Reacting to the many concerns about the increase in the price of bread, the Sierra Leone National Bakers Union has now made it categorically clear the Union is not adding anything to the prices of bread.

The Union stated that they are working closely with the Ministry of Trade to address concerns raised by some bakers.
