Chief Minister Dr. David Sengeh stated that Sierra Leone is experiencing significant progress under President Dr. Julius Maada Bio’s leadership, particularly in the education sector.

Speaking at the inaugural President Bio Leadership Colloquium 2025, held at the Bintumani Conference Center, Dr. Sengeh announced that over 1.5 million pupils are now enrolled in schools across the country.

During a panel session focused on leadership for national development, Dr. Sengeh asserted, “By every indicator, Sierra Leone is far better today than yesterday, and it is going to be better tomorrow than today.”

He attributed the substantial increase in school enrollment to initiatives implemented by President Bio’s administration, highlighting that many of these students would have been excluded from education without these government efforts.

The Chief Minister’s remarks emphasized the government’s commitment to enhancing educational opportunities in Sierra Leone, marking a significant milestone in the nation’s ongoing development.

The colloquium coincided with President Bio’s 61st birthday, during which he delivered a keynote address. He expressed gratitude for the presence of former Vice President of Nigeria, Professor Yemi Osinbajo, who attended as a special guest of honor.

President Bio also thanked his family and supporters, and reiterated his commitment to positive change and national development.
