Sierra Leone has been identified as a hot destination choice amongst tourists from the great United Kingdom and Germany, according to Travel and Tour Work.
Sierra Leone which canvasses along the heart of West Africa is known for its pristine beaches, verdant rainforests, and a poignant history rooted in its origins as a sanctuary for freed slaves.
According to an insightful conversation with Alieya Alie Kargbo, CEO of Tourism is Life Tours, a significant DMC in Sierra Leone, revelations about the tourist footfall came out in the open. Kargbo informed how a hidden gem in West Africa is emerging as a popular destination among UK and German tourists.
Kargbo, whose company is a member of the international network 1 DCM World, emphasized the special services they provide to meet the needs of the growing number of foreign tourists, such as expedited visa procedures and extensive travel insurance.
Even Kargbo thinks deeply about the tourists as he informs that, “…as tour operators, we always aim to tailor the itinerary of our customers to cater to their needs and wants. And in doing so, the customers are satisfied. Therefore, even though our clients are far from home, we should provide for their needs when they come to visit our nation. So that they feel at home.”
His advice to customize itineraries to each visitor’s preferences and make sure they have a comfortable stay while traveling far from home is crucial for ensuring customer satisfaction. Sierra Leone witnessing an influx of tourists, primarily from the UK, is quite obvious because it still strives to be a hidden gem. And the United Kingdom strives as a nation that has been home to adventurers and explorers. Had the cartographer James Cook, the captain of the Royal Navy, not existed, a lot of discoveries would not have taken place.
Even German tourists that come second to the UK prefer visiting Sierra Leone, which is an amiable and hassle-free destination. Additionally, part of Kargbo’s strategy is to highlight the natural beauties of Sierra Leone, such as the Gola Rainforest and Outamba-Kilimi national parks, as well as Mount Bintumani, the highest mountain in West Africa. Part of the attraction also includes Tiwai Island and the Western Area peninsula, with their distinctive wildlife and gorgeous beaches.
