Sierra Leone Deputy Ambassador to Saudi Arabia, Abdul Aziz Turay held high-level talks with Mr. Saif Said Al Shamli, the Counsellor-Deputy Head of Mission of Sultanate Oman Embassy in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, to explore avenues for enhancing bilateral relations.
The discussions centered on expanding partnerships in trade, investment, energy, agriculture, mining, and education. Agriculture was highlighted as critical for food security and agro-industrial development.
Also, education partnerships could focus on vocational training and academic exchanges to bolster human capital.
Deputy Ambassador Abdul Aziz Turay described the talks as “a pivotal step toward unlocking shared prosperity.’’
“By aligning Sierra Leone’s resource potential with Oman’s strategic expertise, we lay the groundwork for sustainable development,” Turay said. He added that Sierra Leone and Oman have maintained cordial diplomatic ties, but that the meeting signalled a renewed push to translate goodwill into actionable projects.
