The Sierra Leone Police (SLP) has intensified night patrols across Freetown and its beach areas in a concerted effort to enhance public safety during the festive season.
The operation, featuring specially customized patrol motorcycles, aims to deter crime and create a secure environment for residents and visitors.
This proactive measure is part of the SLP’s Strategic Development Goal, which prioritizes community safety and crime reduction during the yuletide period. By increasing visibility and mobility in key areas, the police force seeks to instill public confidence and ensure peaceful celebrations.
The SLP has urged residents to stay vigilant and promptly report any suspicious activity. “Public cooperation is essential in maintaining peace and security,” a spokesperson for the police stated.
