The Sierra Leone Police (SLP) has written to the Parliament of Sierra Leone requesting for the release of four Members of Parliament of the main opposition All Peoples Congress (APC) for interviews at the Criminal Investigation Department (CID).

According to SLP, the four APC MPs – Hon. Mohamed Bahgura, Hon. Turay, Hon. Abdul Kargbo, and Hon. Aron Arun Koroma are to be interviewed for alleged cases of threatening language, public insult and provocation and riotous conduct.

“Please be reminded that this Department is still investigating an alleged case of Threatening Language, Public Insult and Provocation and Riotous Conduct reported by the Regional Commander North East, Assistant Inspector General of Police, Gabriel G.M.Tommy (Mr.) against Honorable Mohamed Bangura of constituency 066 in Karene District, Honorable Aaron Arun Koroma of constituency 048 in Tonkolill District, Honorable Abdul Kargbo of constituency 077 in Portioko District and Honorable Turay of Matotoka, all members of the All People Congress in Parliament,” SLP stated.

“During the course of the investigation, it was revealed that the above mentioned Honorable Members of Parliament under your supervision were implicated.”
