“Sierra Leone is a Proud Country That Has a Very Important Role to Play in International Justice” – ICC Prosecutor

ICC Prosecutor Kareem Khan has stated that Sierra Leone is a proud nation with a crucial role in the international justice system.

He shared this insight during an encounter with the Minister of Information and Civic Education, Chernor Bah, who sought to understand the significance of his discussion with the President.

Kareem Khan emphasized that Sierra Leone has been honored by its election as one of the three African countries to serve as non-permanent members of the United Nations Security Council for the 2024/2025 term

He stated that there has been substantial support from the country for the Special Court and the ICC, and they want to ensure that they can rely on Sierra Leone’s continued support.

“We want to make sure that we can count on Sierra Leone, work with Sierra Leone and benefit from sierra Leone’s leadership in terms of international justice” he stated, adding that the court is driven by one principle being the equality of humanity and the lives of people in the global circle.

He said, it was great meeting presidPresident Biofortify the bond of trust and to look at ways in which justice can be felt by the people of Sierra Leone.

The president has earned himself an incredible record in modern history and such would be sold and harvested well in Sierra Leone and the global community. We can not continue to be on the bad side of history all the time bcoz Bio is not a tribalist with regional lens. We have heard so much of these thrash, but as a nation, coming together to run this country would be the only way out. Mr. Khan, please educate the stupid propagandist, who don't know anything about international affairs. Sometimes, it makes me so mad, when these folks that's been overseas for decades, are still circulating lies on social media. I wonder if these fools have any intentions to return home. Some were circulating some nonsense, that President Bio, will not be returning to Salone, because the ICC folks will arrest him. NONSENSE! one thing people need to remember, is that, anyone that God has Blessed, no one can change that. In my opinion, this President is Blessed. Let's think back, all the way, since 2017, of all the humiliation he has suffered, from the APC evil people, and yes, a few of some SLPP folks.
