A high-level delegation from Sierra Leone, led by Dr. Theresa Tenneh Dick, Deputy Minister 1 of Agriculture and Food Security, is currently attending the World Food India program in New Delhi.

The international event, running from September 19 to 22, brings together government officials, private sector leaders, and agricultural experts from across the globe to foster cooperation in addressing food insecurity and poverty.

Dr. Dick, accompanied by Mr. Matthew Mohamed Kenneh, District Agriculture Officer for Kenema, is presenting Sierra Leone’s “Feed Salone” initiative, a flagship program of President Julius Maada Bio aimed at enhancing the nation’s food self-sufficiency. The Sierra Leone delegation is seeking international collaboration and partnerships to strengthen the country’s agricultural sector and support efforts to alleviate hunger and poverty.

The World Food India forum serves as a critical platform for discussions on global agricultural development, and Sierra Leone’s participation reflects its commitment to building sustainable food systems back home.
