The Ministry of Youth and Sports of Egypt has organized the closing ceremony of the Nasser Leadership Fellowship Third Edition on Wednesday, 15 June 2022, where two Sierra Leoneans participated.

Two Sierra Leonean participants are Zipporah Hawa Moriba from Girls Aid Movement and Eric Selassie Kawa, owner and Producer of Weekly Splash TV show. The Embassy of the Republic of Sierra Leone in Cairo was also represented at the closing ceremony.

The program was graced by H. E. Dr. Mostafa Kamal Madbouly, Prime Minister of Egypt and Ashraf Sobhy, Minister of Youth and Sports.

The program attracted the participation of 150 young leaders from non-aligned countries and friendly countries from Africa, Asia, Europe, and Latin America at the Engineering Authority House, in Cairo under the slogan “Non-Aligned Youth and South-South Cooperation”.

PM Dr. Madbouly said Egypt is taking giant steps in strengthening cooperation with the future leaders, a dream borne out of President Nasser’s quest for love and cooperation.

“It is H. E. President Abdel Fattah El – Sisi’s desire to assemble youths across the globe from all cadres to share the Egyptian experience”.


Dr. Mostafa El-Feki, President of the Bibliotheca Alexandrina is quoted to have said in the opening ceremony that Nasser Fellowship for International Leadership had brought back to our minds the years of close relations between Egypt and the third world countries from the years of glory, the years of national liberation and the national dream, directing appreciations to the youth from the various continents participating in the fellowship.

He considers this important fellowship as the fruit of a humanitarian intellectual project of His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi at all levels and fields, especially during the presidency of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic of the African Union, which had important and several impacts at the African level and Egyptian level.
