A young Sierra Leonean, Alhaji Dumbuya is suffering from a hand cancer and in the need of an urgent financial assistance for the surgery to amputate his hand.

Dumbuya made this plea on Facebook.

“It’s has being a while I’m not turning up with you guys in this blue app due to a serious health issue that I’m still fighting to overcome.

According to my X-Ray result doctor has concluded that I have cancer and the only solution to get my life safe is to amputate (cut) my hand. As a friend, brother, sister, Uncle and a family I know you will be sad to hear this about me. But such is life, you will never predict what’s coming. Really as I’m typing now I’m in so much pain and heart broken to be in such situation at this age but to safe my life I have no option I just have to, although I know I will face a lot of discrimination after this because I know this place I’m from. But I believed I will still move on and I hope to still become that great man in society who I always want to be.

Having a single arm will not destroy my dreams. I believed I will not die with unfinished dreams,” he stated.

Dumbuya added that, “Now the doctor has told us the price for the amputation which is Le15,000,000 and he advised us to try hard to reach him earlier because the cancer is spreading everyday and he said if we delay I may end up loosing my life.
