Following to the leaked trending photos which were allegedly taken 10 years by the current Minister of Basic and Senior Secondary School Education (MBSSE), David Moinina Sengeh, who was spotted seductively posing with some alleged friends, Sierra Leoneans in Twitter and other social media platforms have blasted Dr Lahai’s actions to Minster Sengeh.
These leaked photos surfaced the web after the fake degree whistle blower Dr John Idriss Lahai took to his Facebook page and posted with the caption: “Beautiful photos of “sister Kadiatu” (or Dr David Sengeh; aka Dr Cobbler).”
Sierra Leoneans looking at the photos and living in a society that rarely practice bisexuality or homosexuality sparked with reactions from different angles. Some were with the thoughts that, from the intimate look of the pictures, David Sengeh must have been a gay over the years or is still practicing bisexuality as he is married to a woman and has two kids.
As the trend of the pictures continues, some Sierra Leoneans took to their Twitter handle to express their dismay over the Dr Lahai’s actions. Dr Lahai is known to be on the opposition side since he surfaced in Sierra Leone chasing fake degrees. He has on several occasions seen posting sarcastic posts that depicts his anger on the new direction government to the people of Sierra Leone. In the Facebook app, Dr Lahai considered himself as the proprietor of Violence (Vawulence as it known in the blue app). According to him, he cannot leave in a Facebook tranquil community without causing violence.
It is not possible that every Sierra Leone should belong to the same party, but this Vickie Remoe mentioned that, the fake degree whistle blower Dr Lahai has cross the limit beyond political opposition to intruding into personal affairs of Sengeh.
Being a victim of gender violence before, Vickie Remoe categorised Dr Lahai’s misbehaviour to an online gender base violence which according to cyber laws of Sierra Leone could as well possibly be charged to court actions if he was sued by Sengeh.
In the mind’s eye of Sierraeye Salone, they mentioned that, public servants’ sexual orientation or preference is private and personal to them. They continued that it was irrelevant whether they are heterosexual, bisexual, gay or lesbian. The most important thing to the public is that they carry out their responsibilities to the best interest of their people.
“People are so comfortable crossing lines and blurring boundaries. It’s awful and despicable but I guess it’s Salone, olman kin do nd say wetin den lek. I am pretty sure they wouldn’t dare do the same in the countries they are currently living,” Bintu Mansaray twitted with dismay to the cyber bullying of Dr Lahai to Sengeh.
“We can disagree on politics but it’s should not denigrate to this level — personal attacks.
The more we continue to dehumanize people we believe are on the opposite side, the more we deepen the national divide.
Do ya ah day beg una, find another way. This is not it.
Sickening,” Vickie reacted on the aforementioned saga.
