Sierra Leone’s Ambassador to the Russian Federation, HE Mohamed Yongawo, and the Minister of Local Government and Rural Development, Tamba Lamina on Tuesday 27th September 2022 inspected another 50 Dump Trucks from Russia at Queen Elizabeth II Quay in Freetown.

The 50 Dump Trucks are part of the 200 Trucks promised to His Excellency President Julius Maada Bio and the People of Sierra Leone by President Vladimir Putin during the 2019 Russian-Africa summit in Sochi, Russia.

In a brief statement, Ambassador Lamina described the gesture as timely and expressed gratitude to the Russia Government for the fulfillment of her promise to President Bio.

In attendance were the Head of Chancery, Mr. Dennis Nicol, Press Attaché Mr. Festus Lahai, and Mohamed Collier a new graduate from Russia.
