SL Brewery Ltd is so concerned with the effects of beer drinking among youths that it is rolling out a campaign to discourage underage drinking in schools.

The company continued its drive at the Orientation Ceremony of the 5th National Spelling Bee 2024, in collaboration with the Spelling Bee Foundation, when Foday Daboh, the Corporate Affairs Manager, delivered a Keynote Address centered around the theme “Zero Tolerance for Underage Drinking: Let’s Keep Alcohol out of the Hands of Minors.

Darboh pointed out that the significance of refraining from alcohol consumption until the legal age of 18+. He underscored the importance of making responsible choices and presented Maltina, SL Brewery’s non-alcoholic beverage, as an excellent alternative. Maltina, enriched with essential vitamins, will be included as part of the winning prizes across all categories of the spelling bee.

The campaign against underage drinking in secondary schools is timely because this is the age at which young people start engaging in beer drinking.
