President Julius Maada Bio has been declared Flafbearer of SLPP for the upcoming 2023 or 2024 presidential elections.

President Bio who has been an SLPP Flagbearer for over 2 presidential contest has been chosen again to lead the Sierra Leone People’s Party at the forthcoming national election.

President Bio leading the SLPP together with Mohamed Juldeh as his running mate won the 2018 highly contested election.

The ruling Sierra Leone People’s Party (SLPP) have unanimously endorsed His Excellency Rtd. Brig. Julius Maada Bio again to run for a second term under the SLPP.

The decision was reached at the party ongoing National Delegates Conference in Bo today Wednesday 29th December, 2021.

President Julius Maada Bio’s nomination was proposed by the National Chairman, SLPP Dr. Prince Alex Harding and seconded by Mr. Umaru Napoleon Koroma, National Secretary General, SLPP.

The next presidential election is two years away from now as it is expected to be conducted in 2023 or in 2024.
