The Sierra Leone Roads Authority (SLRA) in a public notice dated 20th February 2023 has revealed a contract agreement with the Gento Group of Companies.

The purpose of the contract is for the reconstruction of the old hill cot bridge, below the overhead steel bridge, and an addendum to the hill cot road project.

The company also informed the general public that work will commence on the project on Saturday 25th February 2023.

‘’The general public is hereby informed that The Sierra Leone Roads Authority has contracted The Gento Group Of Companies to reconstruct the Old Hill Cot Bridge, below the Over Head Steel Bridge, as an addendum to the Hill Cot Road Project.

Therefore, the management of Gento Group Of Companies (Ltd.) wishes to inform the general public that the company will commence work on Saturday, February 25, 2023, on the Bridge.

During the period, a section of the road, from the British International School (BIS) to Hill Cot Road, will be temporarily closed to the public until the works are completed in two months.

In light of the above, we advise motorists (road users) to ply on the two-lane road on top of the overhead bridge throughout this period.
