A meeting held at the Sierra Leone Road Safety Authority (SLRSA), the Executive Director, Mr. James Baggie Bio, called on all Head of Stations to sign a performance contract.

According to Mr. Bio, his predecessor had signed a performance contract with the Ministry of Transport and Aviation. In order for him to be rated high during assessment, the responsibility lies with Management, all Head of stations, and the general performance of the staff of SLRSA.

Furthermore, the Executive Director Bio therefore called on all Head of stations to sign similar contracts for effective revenue mobilisation and efficient service delivery.

He furthered that Management has drafted a performance contract for all Head of Stations to sign, and that promotion will be based on performance. He entreated all Head of Stations to take their work seriously and maintain professionalism. Disciplinary actions will be taken against any Head of Station who fails to meet minimum requirements, he added.

During the meeting, he also introduced the new Director of Human Resources and Administration, Mrs. Mariama Masuba, who had gone through the necessary procedures and the Board had approved her as the Substantive Director of Human Resources and Administration.

Additionally, Mr. Bio promised to empower the Director of Human Resources and requested that a proper chain of command be maintained. All complaints and concerns should be channelled through the Director of Human Resource and Administration, who will take it up with the Deputy Executive Director, who is the head of operations, where and when necessary.

The Deputy Executive Director, Mr Josie A. Scott Manga, said he always aligned his vision with that of the Executive Director as head of operations.

“He would be charged with the responsibility to monitor the performance of all Head of Stations, He therefore encouraged them to work assiduously.” He sated.

The Director of Human Resource and Administration, Mrs Mariama Masuba, encouraged all Head of stations to manifest leadership and do their work diligently without fear or favour, and should treat every personnel equally.
