Veteran Journalist and Publisher of the Global Times Newspaper, Sorie Fofana, has been appointed as Chairman, Board of Directors, National Civil Registration Authority (NCRA) in accordance with Section 3 (4) of the NCRA Act, 2016 by President Julius Maada Bio

Sorie Fofana recently served as Chairman, Board of Directors at the Sierra Leone Cable Limited (SALCAB) before it was unbundled in December 2020.
His appointment at NCRA has been welcomed as timely especially at a time when the country is gearing up for crucial general elections in June 2023.

“This is what we expect from President Bio to appoint someone like Sorie Fofana who commands greater respect in the media landscape of Sierra Leone and beyond. He is a man of his word and we have no doubt that this is the best thing that has happened at NCRA…He is known to be a good team player and a deeply thoughtful man”, said a senior journalist.
