A delegation from South Sudan has completed a Study tour on Sierra Leone’s Public Financial Management and Human Resource systems and reforms.
The delegation was headed by the Director General of Human Resource Management at the Ministry of Public Service and Human Resource Development, Abraham Makur Magnok.
The Communications unit at the ministry revealed that, the study tour started with a courtesy call on the Financial Secretary, Matthew Dingie, on Monday 4th and ended on Friday, 8th December 2023, where the head of the delegation thanked the government of Sierra Leone and the Ministry of Finance for their hospitality and stated that they choose Sierra Leone because they believe the two countries have similarities in several areas.
The Financial Secretary, Matthew Dingie, thanked the delegation for choosing Sierra Leone, stating that the government is willing to support the information and experience sharing on the various PFM and HR reforms and systems the government is undertaking.
Minister of Finance Sheku Ahmed Fantamadu Bangura, in his statement, stated that the Reforms the government is undertaking now are deep and are still ongoing and that most of the reforms are home-driven with support from partners.
