The Inspector General of the Sierra Leone Police, Ambrose Sovula, has on the 17th August 2021, met with his counterpart, Usman Alkali Baba, the Inspector General of the Nigeria Police Force.
The meeting between the two police forces, which is strengthen bilateral policing engagement, was held at the NPF Headquarters in Abuja, Nigeria.
The purpose of the meeting was to formally sign a joint cooperation for the exchange of manpower and trainings.
Speaking on crimes, IG Alkali stated that there is need for continuous bilateral police corporation to confront regional security threats.
The I. G. of Sierra Leone Police, Ambrose Sovula, expressed appreciations to the Nigeria Police Force for approving the participation of ten senior Sierra Leonean police officers in the ongoing Strategic Leadership and Command Course at the Nigeria Police Force.
He enjoyed the NPF to continue collaborating with SLP to fight against crimes, stating that Sierra Leone is always ready to corporate in the fight against regional crimes.
