There are high indications that erring Members of the Sierra Leone Parliament may be given steering punishments if they do not follow the new directive of Speaker Dumbuya, Sierraloaded can reveal.
The Speaker , Hon. Sheku Dumbuya, is reported to have given a stern warning to Members of Parliament engaged in lawless parking of vehicles within the perimeter of Parliament.
He gave the strong warning on Friday, July 31st , while addressing his colleague MPs in the well of Parliament.
The Speaker observed with dismay that many MPs have taken to the lawless habit of not parking their vehicle in the designated parking space for all MPs but instead obstructing the front and side view of Parliament by parking their vehicles randomly at the front or side of the house.
Hon. Dumbuya noted that the legitimate parking space is more than enough to accommodate all the vehicles of all the MPs. He strongly warned all the MPs involved in such unruly act to desist forthwith as much is expected from them as lawmakers.
