Sierra Leone’s Medical Students’ Association (SLEMSA) through the Standing Committee on Public Health (SCOPH), has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) among students of the College of Medicine and Allied Health Science (COMAHS), University of Makeni (UNIMAK) and Njala University medical students.
The signing was done during the Inter-University workshop for medical students towards ensuring that they speak with one voice and provide efficient service once graduate to the people.
The Memorandum Of Understanding will serve as a symbol of sustainable partnership among the three universities.
The Director of the Standing Committee on Public Health, Samuel Sahr Kellie, expressed joy and satisfaction as his vision has been written down in the history of SLEMSA.
He said that the signing of the MOU served as a bridge to close the gap between public health students in the various universities across the country; adding that the MOU will promote students’ exchange programs, capacitate, create opportunities, and expose students to the health systems for Promoting quality health service delivery and a better understanding of their work.
