Chief Alhaji Samuel Sam-Sumana, the former Vice President of the Republic of Sierra Leone on the 27th of April 2024 honoured the invitation by President Bio to the Inter-religious prayers held in commemoration of Sierra Leone’s 63rd Independence anniversary at State House.
Sierraloaded reports that Prayers were held in both Christian and Muslim fashion, thus reaffirming the country’s religious tolerance and care for one another which was clear demonstrated by the two main religions in the country.
The Former Vice President had the privilege of meeting and sharing courtesy between himself and members of the SLPP party. The interaction was very cordial and reassuring of great hopes for future political tolerance in Sierra Leone. The former VP showcased a sense of reasoning and resonating with friends and colleagues in the political divide.
The event was graced by several dignitaries such as Former Vice President Victor Bockarie Foh, government ministers, Members of Parliament, Ambassadors of various countries and invited members of the public.
This was seen as a great move in the right direction of reuniting in making sure that the peace and tranquility in the country stands well as well as respecting barriers.
