Dr. Sylvia Olayinka Blyden has taken to Facebook to accuse the All People’s Congress (APC) Party’s Mayoral candidate, Yvonne Aki-Sawyer, and Presidential candidate, Dr. Samura Kamara, of failing to provide the RRF election forms for the recently concluded June 23, 2023, General Elections.

In her post, Blyden alleged, “Yvonne Aki-Sawyer cannot produce mayoral election RRF forms nor tallied results for Freetown’s polling stations. Is it because she has a criminal court case on her head?” She suggested that the inability to provide these results could be linked to ongoing legal issues faced by Aki-Sawyer.

Blyden extended her accusations to Dr. Samura Kamara, stating that he too could not provide the RRF forms for the presidential election results from Freetown’s polling stations. “Dr. Samura Kamara cannot produce presidential election RRF forms or tallied results for even Freetown’s polling stations. Is it because he has a criminal case on his head?” she questioned.

The post has sparked considerable debate, with varied reactions from the public. Some comments supported Blyden’s claims, while others defended the APC candidates.

Following the elections, Aki-Sawyer posted videos on her Facebook page showing RRF forms she claimed were collected from polling stations after voting. Blyden’s recent accusations appear to directly challenge the authenticity and completeness of these claims.

Concluding her post, Blyden emphasized the importance of providing these forms as evidence in any challenge to the election results. “You cannot be challenging election results all this while and can’t provide an important evidence that could lay down the entire case to rest,” she asserted.
