Dr Sylvia Olayinka Blyden has made clarifications on the Legality of the High Court Judge, Justice Hannah Bonnie’s Injunction at the APC National Convention.
She made this clarification on Social Media on the 16th of February 2023.
According to her, since Hon Justice Adrian Fisher is currently out of the country, Hon Justice Hannah Bonnie’s Injunction stands and supersedes all previous High Court Orders for now.
“The mis-advised Radio Interview this morning by my small brother and APC Comrade Hon. Abdul Kargbo is part of why I want to be on NAC to avert Bad Advise.”, Blyden wrote.
This comes after the Secretary of the Interim Government and Transition Committee (ITGC) of the main opposition All People’s Congress (APC), Abdul Kargbo, had earlier said that the APC convention will go on as planned despite an injunction from the court.
“This purported court action is different from that presided over by the Hon. Justice Adrian J. Fisher (J) and the APC is neither a party to this fresh action nor was it referenced in the body, content and spirit of the purported Court Order that followed,” the party wrote in a press release issued after Justice Bonnie’s order.
Meanwhile, Alfred Peter Conteh, The Interim Transition Governance Committee (ITGC) Chairman of the Opposition All People’s Congress (APC) has later announced that the party’s national delegates conference will no longer hold.
