The Tertiary Education Commission (TEC) has released the full list of registered institutions in Sierra Leone with the commission as at April 2022.
TEC categorised the institutions in different categories ranging from A to C. It also indicated the accredited courses of each institution ranging from Certificate to PhD.
Category A comprises of Njala University, Fourah Bay College (FBC), College of Medicine & Allied Health Sciences (COMAHS), Milton Margai Technical University and others.

Category B comprises of Blue Crest College of Technology, Freetown Polytechnic, Institute of Business Administration & Technology (IBATECH), LICCSAL Business College and others.
Category C comprises of ABBAKO Technical College, American College of Science & Technology, Banktec College of Information & Technology, College of Business & Information Technology (COBIT), College of Business Studies, IMAT College and others.
The Tertiary Education Commission (TEC) is a body corporate established by an Act of Parliament in 2001 to regulate Tertiary Education Institutions (TEIs) in Sierra Leone. However, many institutions like the most talked about ‘Dominion University’ is missing from the updated list of registered institutions with the commission.
