A report has disclosed that the chairman of the Tertiary Education Commission (TEC), Prof. A.M. Alghali, has deployed heavily armed police to the commission’s offices, ordering all employees to leave and to close the doors.
According to the report, the action, which the chairman claims was taken with the Minister of Higher and Tertiary Education’s approval, comes in response to allegations of insubordination, insolence, and unprofessional behaviour directed at the minister and other senior ministry officials.
In a letter, Prof. Alghali states he’s suspended all TEC employees, placing them on half pay, effective immediately, on the minister’s instructions.

This issue has already been resolved. You weren’t found guilty and acquitted of all allegations. Sir,I think there was just no need for this. This is one of the actions that could serve as a force to thwart efforts directed towards prosecution of misconducts by employers and all concerned in an organization.
Great move by the TEC chairman! This action would serve as a warning to all employees be it public or private, to be submissive to their immediate bosses. Age or Educational background does not matter.
