In a renewed effort to curb the spread of harmful narcotic substances, the Tongo Division of the Sierra Leone Police has intensified its operations, leading to multiple arrests and significant drug seizures.

During a recent raid, police officers apprehended Musu Koroma of Hospital Camp, Tongo Field, for being in possession of suspected illegal drugs.

In a separate operation, Messi Bockarie of Fowaru Village was arrested with 180 wraps of Kush, 82 tablets of 100mg Tramadol, and a cash amount of seventy-six Leones (Le76.00).

All items have been securely documented as exhibits.

The crackdown, part of the Division’s ongoing anti-drug campaign, has been widely commended by community stakeholders who praised the police for their professionalism, vigilance, and commitment in tackling the growing menace of drug abuse.

Police sources confirmed that both suspects and the seized exhibits remain in custody while investigations are underway.

Authorities have reiterated their determination to sustain similar operations across the region to rid communities of harmful substances and ensure public safety.
