The Minister of Tourism and Cultural Affairs, Nabeela Farida Tunis, visited the popular reality show Housemates Salone mansion today, encouraging contestants to embrace their roles as ambassadors for Sierra Leone’s culture and tourism potential.

Minister Tunis, who was described as bringing “elegance, insight, and uplifting motivation,” challenged the Housemates to champion Sierra Leone as the “ultimate modern-day tourist hotspot.”

The Minister emphasized the potential for future partnerships between the Ministry and the reality show contestants. She expressed a strong interest in collaborating with the Housemates on upcoming projects, including cultural showcases, tourism campaigns, and national events, aimed at spotlighting Sierra Leone on a global stage.

Minister Tunis concluded her visit by applauding the show’s organizers, AYV Media Empire and Africell Sierra Leone, for their commitment to projecting Sierra Leone to the world through a platform that blends culture, lifestyle, and media into one package.

Immediately following the Minister’s visit, the Housemates thrilled audiences with a Reggae Karaoke Night.

The contestants performed reggae hits in a “One Nation style,” competing for exclusive tickets to the upcoming One Nation Reggae Festival. Fans participated by voting for their favorite performers via the Festival’s Facebook page.

This event further cemented the ongoing partnership between the Ministry of Tourism and the One Nation Reggae Festival, which aims to promote cultural expression and build momentum toward the main event.

The visit reinforced the government’s strategy of utilizing high-profile entertainment platforms to market Sierra Leone’s cultural depth and tourism appeal internationally.
