The Director of Traffic Management and Road Safety Directorate (TMRSD), Commissioner of Police (CP) Mr. Moijueh, has received 31 breath alcohol testers donated by the Kingtom Police Hospital.

The brief yet significant handover ceremony took place at the Central Police Division.

The donation comes as the country enters the festive season, a period often marked by increased road activity and heightened risk of road safety violations.

In his remarks, CP Moijueh expressed profound gratitude to the Kingtom Police Hospital leadership, emphasizing the timely nature of the gesture. He noted that the devices would play a pivotal role in enhancing traffic law enforcement and mitigating drunk driving incidents during the festive period.

“These breath alcohol testers are critical tools for ensuring road safety, particularly as we approach the holiday season,” he said.

The devices will be distributed across the Divisional Traffic Operations Sections (DTOS) nationwide to bolster enforcement capabilities.

CP Moijueh also extended his appreciation to the Inspector General of Police (IGP) for his visionary leadership and unwavering support to the Sierra Leone Police.
