The UKAid in Sierra Leone has commended the Government of Sierra Leone over the 74.4% fall in maternal deaths.

It is noted that the percentage fall is recorded from among the highest worldwide in 20 years leading to 443/100,000 live births which are below the average. In as such, the UKAid admonished that, they are proud to support national, district, and community activities which may aim at improving the outcomes for mothers in Sierra Leone.

The UKAid had recently announced partnerships with CIPESL, TDSSALONE, SLAJ, and IRN respectively. This partnership is aimed at supporting cross-community and political interest dialogue for peaceful and violence-free elections in June 2023.
