The United Nations Senior Human Rights Advisor in Sierra Leone, Dr. Uchenna Emelonye has paid a visit to the Human Rights Commission of Sierra Leone ahead of the June 2023 elections
The engagement was to have plans set by the commission as well as mapping out working relationships that may also include support to the human right working group in Sierra Leone.
Different bodies are said to have recently met with the HRCSL to constitute a working relationship and strengthening their involvement into crucial human right issues in the country.
The commonwealth secretariat mission to Sierra Leone had also engaged the commission to understand the works of the commission and its diverse roles towards a peaceful election in June 2023.
The commission has shared its preparedness and strategies for an effective work operation at every point in time in the country.
