The United Nations Development Program (UNDP) has given financial support to 800 women at Coastal areas in Sierra Leone to help them in their business pursuits.
This is part of their commitment to accompanying Sierra Leone in the journey to achieve sustainable development for people and the planet.
The UNDP, sees the struggles of women as many in rural Sierra Leone do not have financial support to grow their businesses.
With support from the CoastalRisk project funded by theGEF, it has seen the restoration of hope to 800 women from six (6) coastal communities that have joined the VSLAs respectively.
According to the UNDP, theGEF funded CoastalRisk project will enble women of Tombo to grow their fish businesses.
