The United Nations Fund for Population Activities (UNFPA) Sierra Leone chapter has received two 40ft containers packed with 2.5 million condoms.

The condoms were delivered at the central medical store in Freetown for proper storage.

According to UNFPA Sierra Leone, the initiative is a way to help end unmet needs for family planning and prevent STIs and HIV.

They call on the public to end condom stigma and ensure health and well-being for all.

UNFPA is the United Nations sexual and reproductive health agency with the mission to deliver a world where every pregnancy is wanted and every childbirth is planned.

A condom is a sheath-shaped barrier device used during sexual intercourse to reduce the probability of pregnancy or a sexually transmitted infection.
