The University of Sierra Leone (USL) has announced an extension for the submission of online applications for the 2024/2025 academic session.
According to a notice issued on 6th November 2024, the deadline for obtaining online application PINs for admission into undergraduate courses at Fourah Bay College (FBC), the College of Medicine and Allied Health Sciences (COMAHS), and the Institute of Public Administration and Management (IPAM) has been extended to Friday, 15th November 2024.
This extension grants prospective undergraduate applicants additional time to apply for admission. In contrast, applications for postgraduate programmes remain open indefinitely until further notice.
Additionally, the university’s online portal provides access to applications for its e-learning Master’s programmes in fields such as Business Administration, Journalism & Media Studies, Communication & Development Studies, and Public Relations & Marketing Communication. These programmes offer students the flexibility to pursue advanced degrees remotely.
Prospective applicants can obtain their application PINs at several banking institutions, including Sierra Leone Commercial Bank, Commerce and Mortgage Bank (CMB), Rokel Commercial Bank, and Union Trust Bank.
PINs are available at the cost of Le NLe500 for undergraduate applications and Le NLe600 for postgraduate applications.
Applicants are advised to visit the University of Sierra Leone’s official website (www.usl.edu.sl) for detailed information on entry requirements across the various programmes, colleges, faculties, and departments.
Furthermore, applicants who initially applied under the “awaiting results” category are urged to upload their final results via the university portal before the reopening of colleges.
The notice also clarifies that diploma and certificate courses at USL are terminal programmes. Applicants from these courses seeking to apply for degree programmes must meet the university’s minimum entry requirements to proceed.
