The University of Sierra Leone has waived 2022 Graduation Fees For Students With Disability. This move came after constant engagement by the President for students with special needs. Fatmata Jalloh, FBC and National Commission for Persons with Disability.

The cost for a student to be part of the 2022 Convocation ceremony is one million five hundred thousand Leones

The University university of Sierra Leone will further send invoice to Ministry of Tertiary Education to pay on  behalf of the disable students. The Director of Media, University of Sierra Leone , Dr Tonya Musa recently issued a press statement confirming the date for Student Graduation. The release confirms  to the general public that the date for the 2022 Congregation which is schedule  for the 6th  7th, and 8thApril 2022, at the Adjayi Crowther Amphitheatre, Fourah Bay College

However, the University Administration further caution students that that if they want to participate in the Congregation ceremony they must meet the following criteria

a) There should be no outstanding academic requirement i.e no reference exams to be taken leading to the award of the degree, Certificate or diploma

B) final result for the degree, certificate or diploma should have been published

C) There should be no outstanding fee arrears:

d) There should be no pending Investigation of the student by the Disciplinary Committee.

Meanwhile, the Students with Special needs are also poise to organize a graduation party for all students with Disability. The rationale behind the merriment is to celebrate their success having gone through the rigours of Academia.
