Popular Sierra Leonean Vickie Remoe has condemned the way and manner families of the August 10 victims were treated during their mass burial.

Vickie Remoe tweeted that the families of the victims were not allowed to see their loved ones as the coffins were not opened.

“Seems some families of August 10 victims showed up for the mass burial but government not opening coffins to allow verify that their loved ones are there.
Feels inhumane to not allow them to see their loved ones before interment.
How will then be y get closure? E sorry”.

The mass burial came as a result of citizens killed on the August 10 bloody demonstration.

After several concerns by citizens and families of the victims, the government decided to conduct a mass burial for the victims.
