Vice President Dr. Mohamed Juldeh Jalloh welcomed Prime Minister Ousmane Sonko of Senegal at Lungi International Airport during his first official visit to Sierra Leone.
The visit aims to build on discussions held in Senegal on April 22, 2024, focused on food and energy sovereignty, as well as the potential development of a mineral hub.
During his stay, Prime Minister Sonko is scheduled to meet with President Julius Maada Bio to discuss various topics, including the establishment of a mineral processing hub in Sierra Leone, energy collaboration, and enhancing trade and private sector partnerships.
Additionally, Prime Minister Sonko will tour Sierra Leone’s mining locations, where presentations from the mining and energy sectors will take place, culminating in the signing of a joint communiqué and memorandum of understanding. Further details regarding the visit will be announced.

This is a complete violation of ethics in journalism. The Prime Minister of Senegal, and a high power delegation of Nigerians (ECOWAS) already in Freetown, and another high power delegation from the UK is expected to join their counterparts to finalise the peaceful transition of power. The international community is not joking when they have proven beyond all reasonable doubts that Julius Maada Bio stole the June 24th, 2023 Multi Tier Elections. Journalists have a moral and ethical responsibility to be factual in dispensing their duties. Shame on you for supporting a failed regime which has brought Sierra Leone to its knees collapsing all sectors.
