The West African Examination Council (WAEC) has informed school authorities in a public notice that the deadline for the National Primary School Examination (NPSE), Basic Education Certificate Examination(BECE) and West African School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) has been extended to Sunday January 15, 2023.
According to the notice, which is dated December 22nd, 2022, School authorities are advised to upload their entries on or before January 15, 2023 as no further extension of deadline will be made.

The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) is an examination board formed to oversee educational development in English-speaking West African countries. The council has developed a team of well-trained and highly motivated staff which conducts examinations across its member countries at all levels. The member countries of this examination body include Sierra Leone, Liberia, Ghana, the Gambia and Nigeria.
