The World Bank-funded Food System Resilience Program (FSRP) has provided 65 motorbikes to the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security and three key national agencies to strengthen their operational efficiency across the country.
At a symbolic handing-over ceremony held on Wednesday at the Kissy Mechanical Workshop in Freetown, the Minister of Agriculture and Food Security, Dr. Henry Musa Kpaka, officially received the motorbikes on behalf of all beneficiary institutions.
Of the 65 bikes, 45 were allocated to the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security, while the remaining 20 were distributed among the National Water Resources Management Agency (NWRMA), the National Disaster Management Agency (NDMA), and the Sierra Leone Meteorological Agency (SLMet).

Describing the support as timely and impactful, Dr. Kpaka stated, “These bikes are the wheels that will drive our frontline officers to reach farmers in hard-to-access areas with essential services. This is critical to improving extension service delivery.”
Representatives of the partner institutions expressed their gratitude to the World Bank and the FSRP, emphasizing that the motorbikes will significantly improve their capacity to monitor activities, enhance field presence, and deliver timely services, especially in remote and underserved communities.

The Food System Resilience Program continues to play a vital role in supporting Sierra Leone’s efforts to strengthen agricultural systems, improve climate resilience, and ensure food security across the country.

A begger has no choice in the first place, this is what the young president of Burkina Faso said; they always diverted their attentions through loan’s and donation 😔 very sad from those depends on outside help instead of utilizing what the almighty God had freely donated to their blessed nations with just one word; worship me with all your heart and soul. Because he is God who provides for all mankind and he’s a jealous God. Put your hope only on him and work hard, lean not on humans or foreign Gods.
Sierra Leone farmers will never benefits nothing from those motorcycles, only the producers or the western importer. So work’s the world bank or the westerns donations or credits, direct to the beneficiaries and to Africa. Even when the donation reach Africa early or late, it’s never going to benefits those beggers nor their own people. So please start to use your wealth the correct way and think to grow rich with your citizens and your nation as well . Stop the depending on foreigners be independent on own sovereignty.
