Sierra Leone’s Youth Envoy, Yulisa Ahmadu is set to host the first Sierra Leone’s Diaspora Youths Summit in the United States of America.
Yulisa maintained that, youths from Sierra Leone and all over the world will join them in the United States of America on the Africa day May 25, 2024.
Giving the reasons for the summit, he revealed that, the idea is to engage the diaspora youths community as well as harnessing its potentials for the development of the country as part of the move to have youths give back to their country in form of sustainable development no matter the form of contribution that will help the citizens back home.
The Youth Envoy revealed that, he has collaborated with the Sierra Leone’s Embassy in the US, Plan International, the Petroleum Regulatory Authority, the Ministry Of Youths Affairs and the African Studies Department at Howard University respectively.
He maintained that, the speeches and revelations from different young Sierra Leonean speakers at the event may serve as a bigger opportunity for other young Sierra Leoneans to see the reasons and push the development of youths and national cohesion in the country and the anticipated speakers includes, Vickie Remoe,Famous, Drizlik, Desmond Pessima, Patrick Gibrlla, Mahawa Sandi, Dawn Johnson among others.
