Kandeh Yumkella Loses Parliamentary Seat

Kandeh Kolleh Yumkella has lost his seat in Parliament following announcements of 24 June Parliamentary election results by the Electoral Commission for Sierra Leone (ECSL).

Yumkella stood under the ticket of the National Grand Coalition (NGC) party and was representing Samu Chiefdom and its environs in Kambia District, Northwest region of Sierra Leone.

NGC got less than 8 percent of total votes casted failing to repeat 2018 feat when they took large chunk of votes in the District.

The main opposition All People’s Congress (APC) won majority of votes in Kambia thereby securing 4 seats with 57,970 total votes.

The Sierra Leone People’s Party (SLPP) got 35,164 votes (34.19 percent) securing 2 seats.

Why are you criticism him . Some of you will do the same . Thinking that NGC will never got the same number of voters he has during 2018 election forgotten the fact that it was PR system so before loosing everything he prefers to join the team for the betterment of Sierra Leone. KKY this has absolutely shows the way how people don't believe in ur ideology anymore I'm 2018 was message was very good and sensitive But in recent times u chose to follow the same SLPP you preach against in 2018 My brother you should have stayed where you We use to believe in ur politics but u messed up everything. You betrayed us U stole our heart in 2018 and we cannot allow you to sell our minds set in a very low price to a Government or party you use to criticize in recent times So try to put yourself back together and appeal to the people of Kambia on how you mislead them in parliament and in politics as a whole. Your NGC party was believe to be a strong contender against the Alhassan and Alusine Political parties but you totally failed us we can't trust you anymore

KKY has lost his way, a politician's duration in the political limelight is determined by his level of honesty and credibility. KKY lacks both!!! He chose money over credibility.
