Mayor of Freetown, Her Worship Yvonne Aki-Sawyerr OBE has launched the third year Transform Freetown report of the Freetown City Council (FCC).

The launching was done at a press conference at the New City Hall in the presence of councillors, stakeholders, FCC staff and media. Her Worship highlighted the projects FCC implemented for 2021 and the impact they created.

On Facebook, she wrote;

“I was extremely pleased to today launch the Transform Freetown Third Year Report at a press conference at the New City Hall. Building on the previous two editions of this report, and with a continued commitment to transparency and accountability, the Third Year Report provides details of the 45 major project activities undertaken in the period January 2021 to January 2022.

With “deep dives” into each of Transform Freetown 11 priority sectors, the report highlights with locations and photographs, interventions that are contributing to the achievement of the 19 Transform Freetown targets that we set in 2019. The report includes a section on disaster management, international relations and on challenges to the progress of the Transform Freetown initiative. I am particularly excited that this year’s report also includes a section dedicated to ward level interventions so that residents can see what has been done in each of our city’s 48 wards!

Please see below a PDF copy of the report. It will also be available on the FCC website from tomorrow. Thanks to all stakeholders and Freetonians for your contribution to this journey to #TransformFreetown!
