President Bio’s appointees on the Special Investigation Committee to examine the 10th August incidents are not only primarily ardent supporters and card-carrying members of the ruling SLPP but also lack regional and tribal balance. Some members of this committee and their organizations/associations have also expressly sided with the government in their press releases, which in the actual sense will prejudice the investigations due to their participation. Moreso, members of the Security/Intelligence Sector like ONS who should be investigated, have also been appointed; their involvement is a possible ploy to throttle the investigations.

The State Security who stand accused of being unprofessional and responsible for the death of 21 harmless civilians according to credible International Media Institutions like BBC, CNN AJAZEERA, and others were represented by their proxies; while the families of the 21 civilians that were killed by State Security and the opposition that the government also accuses are not represented; including credible Sierra Leoneans in this investigation committee.

Therefore, it is now evidently clear the president’s appointments fall short of credibility and are bigoted, not nationally reflective, and an utter subterfuge.

See and critically reflect on the appointees and make your judgments…
