Sierra Leone’s President, Julius Maada Bio, has conveyed his appreciation and unwavering commitment to the supporters and communities he visited during his campaign tour ahead of the general elections scheduled for June 24th.
President Bio emphasized that his team has traveled extensively throughout the country, effectively conveying their manifesto’s message and interpretation to the average citizen.
Under the theme of “The Green Renaissance,” President Bio expressed his encouragement at the overwhelmingly positive reception received from the people as they toured the nation’s length and breadth.
He highlighted that the policy provisions outlined in the SLPP PEOPLE’S MANIFESTO for the next five years have garnered widespread acceptance among the populace.
“Our policy provisions in our SLPP PEOPLE’S MANIFESTO for the next 5 years have received overwhelming acceptance from the people. The testimonies and development impact of our 2018 New Direction Agenda is a reminder that we must redouble our efforts to bring sustainable transformation to our great country,” he stated.
President Bio underscored that the developmental progress and success stories resulting from the New Direction Agenda, implemented since 2018, serve as a reminder of the need to redouble efforts in bringing sustainable transformation to Sierra Leone.
While acknowledging the challenges that lie ahead, he expressed confidence in overcoming any obstacles on the path to progress with the unwavering support and determination of the people.
“The SLPP commits to working tirelessly to create a brighter future for our nation,” the president stated.
President Bio extended a heartfelt thank you to the communities in Western Rural (Regent and Waterloo), Kenema, Kailahun, Gbalahun, Koindu, Buedu, Tongo, and Koidu City for their enthusiastic welcome, regardless of inclement weather conditions.
