President Bio and First Lady Fatima Bio have paid visit to the home of the late honourable Emmanuel W. Tommy who served as former parliamentary Leader of the Sierra Leone’s Peoples Party.

The late Hon. Emmanuel W. Tommy hailed from Kono District, Eastern Province of Sierra Leone, and also worked in different Committees in Parliament from 2007-2012 as Chairperson, Trade and Tourism and Cultural Affairs, Appointments and the Public Service; Internal Affairs, Local Government and Rural Development among others.

His Constituency profile was linked with Constituency Number 21 with the basic needs of constituents ranging from Water wells, market, bridges, community barristers, health centres, schools for which he worked harder to achieve some of the projected needs.

The Late man died on the 21st January 2024. The visit of the President and the First Lady Fatima Bio occurred in Kenema district at his resident where condolences were offered, and reflections were shared on the significant contributions made by the late leader in uniting the party as well as serving it for quite a long time.

They showed a deep respect for the late Hon. Emmanuel W. Tommy and acknowledged his noteworthy role in the Sierra Leone Peoples Party (SLPP).
