Sylvia Olayinka Blyden, a flagbearer aspirant of the All People’s Congress (APC), has dismissed reports of an APC executive meeting with flagbearer aspirants as “rubbish.”

According to Blyden, the APC has not yet opened applications for any elective position, including the 2028 presidential flagbearer role. She said the party does not currently have any recognized flagbearer aspirants.

“APC has not yet opened applications for any elective position, including the 2028 flagbearer. So I do not understand how anyone can claim that the party executive called ‘flagbearer aspirants’ to a meeting. That is total rubbish. We do not have any recognized flagbearer aspirants yet — not even one,” Blyden wrote in a social media post.

Her statement comes days after photos and reports of an alleged APC meeting surfaced online, reportedly aimed at promoting dialogue and unity ahead of the 2028 elections. Blyden, who was not present at the meeting, expressed concern over the circulating information.
