Sierra Leone’s June 24th, 2023 election is comprised of different political positions across the sixteen districts of the country with different political parties representative vying for the positions.

Bonthe District is not an exception as the different political parties have sent in their participants for the different positions.

The available political positions in the district include Member of Parliament, Mayor, Councilors, and Chairpersons.

For the June 24th, 2023 elections, here are candidates and political parties that will be participating for the different positions.

For the Member of Parliament election, only two political parties are contesting which are the ruling Sierra Leone People’s Party (SLPP) and the main opposition All People’s Congress (APC) party and these two political parties are the only parties also contesting for the councilor position for the district.

The Mayoral position implies the same as only the SLPP and the APC are contesting with Fanny Nema Ndimawa representing the main opposition APC and Mohamed M. Robinson representing the ruling SLPP.

Bonthe District is a district that comprises several islands and mainland of the Atlantic Ocean in the Southern Province of Sierra Leone. Bonthe is one of the sixteen districts of Sierra Leone. Its capital is the town of Bonthe Island and its largest city is Bonthe.

Bonthe District is subdivided into eleven chiefdoms and is headed by the Mayor.
